עם פתיחת האתר , ובכל עמוד ,  מופיעה רשימת שמות בצד שמאל  

המורכבת  מ  3 אינדקסים,...

כל הזמן רציתי וחשבתי איך לקרב ולחדש הקשרים שאיחדו משפחותנו.

בשנים הרחוקות שהיינו במצריים, קשרי המשפחה היו חמים מאוחדים והדוקים מאוד.

בסוף המאח ה 19  (1881)  , היגרו למצריים ראשי משפחת ששון  מעירק,

האב של סבי, ששון כליפה נולד בבגדד בשנת 1831

 האם של סבתי , עמאם עטאר,  ממשפחת  עטאר  מחלב סוריה.

באותם שנים , החיים התנהלו במצריים בשקט ושלווה

עם שלום וסובלנות הדדית בין היהודים והאוכלוסיה המקומית.

אבל הגורל שינה את זה ... והמשפחה התפזרה בכל רחבי חעולם.

עכשיו , בעולמנו הנסער והאכזרי, ילדינו ונכדינו שואלים אם זה הייה תמיד כך.

ילדינו חייבים לדעת איך המשפחה חייה במאה הקודמת.

הם סקרנים  וצמאים להכיר את שורשיהם,

וברור שהם שואלים אותכם שאלות רבות.

להם , אני מקדיש אילן משפחתי זה , ולהם ביצעתי פרויקט ענק זה.

לפני הרבה זמן, רעיון עיבוד ויצירת אילן משפחתי, נבט במוחי

וכל הזמן חיכיתי להזדמנות איך ומתי לבצעו.

עבודה במחשב , והתקנת התוכנה המתאימה, אפשרו לי להגשים חלום זה.

עשיתי את העבודות הרבות הדרושות באהבה, מסירות נפש והרבה סבלנות.

בעזרתכם, כל יום אספתי פרטים , סיפורים , תמונות ,...

זה מתחיל במחצית המאה ה 18 , עם משפחת ששון מעיראק ומשפחת עטאר  מסוריה.

אחר כך , המשפחה גדלה, ההסתעפויות מתרבות, והחתונות מוסיפות שמות חדשים

ומשפחות חדשות לגרעין המרכזי.

התחלתי עם מעט משפחות, והגעתי ליותר 600 אנשים, ...מעל  ל  1000  תמונות,...

ויותר מ 200 משפחות , מרביתם עם תמונות, פרטים שונים, תאריכים

הערות וסיפורים אישיים.

אני בטוח שכל אחד יהנה ,

 לא רק במציאת הפרטים האישיים השייכים לו ולמשפחתו הישירה,

אלה גם יהנה בגלישה לעמודים שונים ויגלה את שורשיו,... את אבותיו,...

והשמות החדשים של המשפחה הגודלת.

עבודה זו לא תגמר לעולם,... צריך תמיד לתקן, להוסיף  ולעדכן.

אני מקווה שבעתיד, יימצה מישהוא שימשיך את עבודתי לדורות הבאים,

במידה ויש צורך בתיקון, עדכון או הוספת פרטים כלשהם,

GENEALOGIC FAMILY TREE… SASSON– ATTAR- PATAN– ABADA

 
                My name is ELIE PATAN, ...

        It's a parent, uncle or cousin, coming out from the past,  lost and forgotten, who is hoping to renew the family linkage.
      Long time ago , I wanted to contact personnally each one, trying to fulfill this purpose. Indeed, in Egypt our families, SASSON, ISRAEL, PATAN, were so near and inseparable,.. till destiny separated us.
     In our agitated , cruel and brutal world, our children and grandchildren, are asking themselves and wandering, if it was always like that, and how the family lived in the last century.
     They are thirsty to know their roots, and  I'm sure they are asking you a lot about that.
     It's for them that I did, this great and important work.

     I always wanted, to elaborate our genealogic family tree; so when I had the opportunity to install this software program (GenoPro), I began seriously.

     Since the end of the 19th century, our family lived in Egypt, well united as a clan, a tribe, ...
     But, in 1950, the dispersion began; … some went to Israel, other to France, to the USA, Brazil, Australia, the UK…or elsewhere…
    So I decided to begin this great project.  I made it with love, passion, and patience. Each day, with the help of all of you, I added more details, dates, photos, new marriages, new names, …
      The family tree is already published on the Internet, and here is its address:

For those who have no connections on the WEB, I hope I’ll be able to  put it on several CD-Rom, and send them to family members. Each one who has the possibility ,may  copy it and send back to others… and so on.
    It began in the middle of the 18th century, with the “SASSON” family from Iraq… and the “ATTAR” family from Syria.  (See the pages of Attar Emam 1850, and Sasson Khalifa 1831).

       With the family growth, the ramifications multiplied, and marriages added new names and new families to the central core.

       Beginning with about a dozen of families, …  today this folder contains nearly 600 individuals, 1000 photos  and more than 200 hundred families... most of them, with photos, dates, and comments.

       I hope and I’m sure, every one will enjoy finding all kinds of information about his direct family… but more important,  … is to browse and surf the pages and names and enjoy discovering the roots and history of the ancestors, and the new ones.

     This work must never end,... It must always be renewed and  updated,... I hope that , in the future, somebody will continue  my work for the next generations.

                         The family tree is composed from 2 different documents.
    1.      The family tree personal and familial pages:  Click on linked address upwards, and the site will be  automatically displayed on your screen. On the left side of the page, search the family name you want to view, click on it, and begin your voyage from one family to the other.

2.      The graphic .gno file: To view this graphic family tree, you must install the “GenoPro” software program. It can be downloaded  (free) from its internet site  http://www.genopro.com  . On the top of every page, there is a drawing of a green tree, ... Click on it to display the graphic window.

     I began on May 2002….  Each time I read it again, I find the opportunity and the need to correct, to add some comments, and other forgotten details.

     So, my dears, if you find some errors or mistakes, or even if you want to modify and add some comments, or anything else, please don’t hesitate…Contact me,.. I’ll be enjoyed to satisfy you. I need your contact and your feedback.

                  Je m'appelle  ELIE PATAN,

     C’est un parent, oncle ou cousin , qui revient et ressort d'un passé lointain  perdu et oublie, et qui cherche votre contact.  
    Depuis longtemps, je voulais vous ecrire afin de renouveler les liens qui unissaient nos familles., … En effet, en Egypte, nos familles  SASSON, ISRAEL, PATAN, étaient proches, unies et inseparables,… jusqu’au moment ou le destin en a voulu autrement, et  les a separees.

      L’idee d’elaborer un arbre genealogique, a germe dans mon esprit voila quelques temps. En effet, notre famille, qui, depuis la fin du 19 eme siecle vivait en Egypte, bien unie et soudee comme un clan, une tribu,…  s’est vue dispersee aux quatre coins du monde.
    J’ai donc decide d’entreprendre ce grand projet. Je l’ai fait avec amour, passion, et patience. Chaque jour, avec l’aide de vous tous, j’ajoutais un nom, une photo, un detail,…
    L'arbre familial est deja publie sur Internet, et voici son adresse :

    Pour ceux qui ne sont pas connectes sur le WEB, j'espere  le graver sur plusieurs CDRoms, et les envoyer aux membres de la famille, qui pourront a leur tour les graver, et les remettre a d'autres,.. et ainsi de suite.

    C’est au milieu du 18eme siecle, avec la famille Sasson d’Iraq, et la famille Attar de Syrie,  que cela commence.  (Voir les pages de Attar Emam 1850, et Sasson Khalifa-1831).
    Ensuite, la famille grandissait, les ramifications se multipliaient, et les mariages ajoutaient des noms et des familles au noyau central.

     Commencant avec a peine une dizaine de familles, j’en suis arrive à presque 600 individus, 1000 photos, et plus de 200 familles, la plupart avec des photos, dates,  details divers, commentaires et autre.

       Je suis sur que chacun trouvera, non seulement le petit coin qui le concerne, et sa famille directe, mais aussi goutera au plaisir de feuilleter et explorer les differentes pages, … decouvrir ses racines, connaitre ses ancetres, ainsi que les nouveaux noms venus, qui aggrandissent le noyau central. Ce travail ne doit jamais cesser. Il faut toujours le rectifier et le mettre a jour. 
       J'espere qu'a l'avenir,  il y aura un successeur , qui prendra la releve et continuera mon travail  pour les generations futures.

    L'arbre familial se compose de 2 documents differents

      1.  Le dossier familial avec les pages individuelles et familiales:  Clickez sur l'adresse du site ci-haut, ainsi s'ouvrira la page d'acceuil de l'arbre familial. Sur le cote gauche, cherchez le nom de la personne, ou le nom de famille, clickez la dessus, et vous etes servi. Vous pouvez surfer d'une page a l'autre et explorer le site.
    2.   Le fichier graphique .gno:  Pour voir ce graphique, de l'arbre familial, il faut installer le logiciel "GenoPro". Vous pouvez le telecharger (gratuit), du site internet :  http://www.genopro.com  . 

Au haut chaque page, il y a un dessin d'un arbre vert. Clickez la dessus, et le dessin graphique familial, s'etalera sur votre ecran.

         D’ailleurs, pour faciliter la tache, il y a un “INDEX” , par nom, par famille et par photos. Comme dans toutes les pages d’internet, il y a plein de liens (hyperlinks), ainsi vous pouvez surfer d’une personne a l’autre, et d’une famille a l’autre.

Pour faciliter la tache, faites un “Raccourci” du fichier “index.html” et mettez le sur le bureau de travail.

        Cela commenca au mois de Mai 2002. Chaque fois que je le relis, je trouve l’occasion et le besoin de corriger, d’y ajouter certains details oublies… Donc, vous mes chers, si vous trouvez des erreurs ou si vous voulez ajouter des photos, ou  vos opinions et commentaires, n’hesitez pas de me contacter, et je me ferias un plaisir, et un devoir de vous satisfaire.
